KS2 visit to Millfield School

On Thursday, March 14th, our Key Stage 2 children attended a science show at Millfield School.

The show was presented by two Millfield Science teachers, and it was pitched perfectly for the children, with a good mix of science and spectacle. Highlights included one of the teachers freezing and smashing his 'sausage fingers' and two of our children having liquid nitrogen poured over their hands! The children also got to taste some ice cream made with liquid nitrogen, which was delicious.

I am sure that it has inspired some future scientists as the children were buzzing on the coach back to school, talking about how interesting they found the show. As you would expect, the behaviour of the children was exemplary, and they demonstrated our school values throughout the afternoon.
