Friday 7th June 2024

Parents of children in Willow and Chestnut Classes please be aware that the children will be spending all of Monday at the Village Hall, so please drop your children off there at the start of the day. Monday will be the final rehearsal before the performances on Tuesday and Wednesday.

The whole school will be at the hall on Monday afternoon, so please collect all children from the hall at the end of the school day.

The Eels are Here!

The much-anticipated eels have arrived in Oak and Rowan classes. The children are so excited and looking forward to caring for them for the next few weeks. As mentioned in a previous newsletter, we are part of the 'Eels in the Classroom' Project, which is organised by SERP (Somerset Eel Recovery Project).

The children will also be taking part in an eel-themed art workshop in the next couple of weeks, which is being run by the project co-ordinator and will focus on the work of the local artist, Julia Manning.

A Reminder About School Lunches

Please be aware that, if no meals are booked for your child by lunchtime on a Wednesday, then we will be expecting them to be sent in with packed lunches for the following week.

Meals can now be booked up until the end of the summer term.  All booked lunches will need to be paid for in advance if your child is not in receipt of Free School Meals or Universal Free School Meals.

A message regarding pupil absences

This is a polite reminder that, if your child is unwell and will not be attending school, please contact the school office to confirm this. A message sent to a class teacher via Seesaw will not be seen straight away, as the teachers will be busy preparing for the school day.

If you wish to apply for term time leave for your child, please complete a term time leave request form, a copy of which can be found here.
