After a much needed Christmas break we are all excited about getting back to work at Wookey School.
We are all looking forward to welcoming Miss Furner back to Willow Class after her illness last term. I know that she is really keen to get back to work and looking forward to seeing the children again.
We are also welcoming a new member of staff into our playgroup, with Miss Robinson starting with us as an apprentice playgroup assistant on Tuesday next week.
Other things booked for the next few weeks include a visit from the NSPCC, when they will talk to the children about keeping safe, another visit from UX2 at the end of the month and the start of our defence of the TLE Netball League trophy we won last year!
I am also pleased to announce that from the start of this term our ICT support in school will be provided by SoltechIT Ltd, who are a taking over from Wells Blue School who previously provided this service. Soltech are a highly respected company who have provided support to business and education for 10 years, and we are very excited to be working with them. As well as having access to their highly skilled technicians we also are able to call upon them for support with accessing funding for new tech in our classes. On top of this we are also able to borrow curriculum resources from them
which will give our children the chance to explore technology that we would simply not be able to afford to purchase as a small school with a limited budget. I am sure that the children, and the staff, are going to enjoy this!
