After having had lovely spring sunshine for our last two Easter events we were worried that the weather would ruin our plans for 2019. Luckily the rain stayed away and we had another memorable morning.
The children really enjoyed delivering their Easter gifts to houses in the village on their way to St Matthew’s Church and they were very excited to share their stories of what happened to them whilst they were dropping off their decorated eggs and Easter writing.
I am pleased to report that since the last day of term we have received some thanks by email and Twitter message from people who received a gift. Here are the messages we have received:
“Thank you all so much for my lovely Easter present. This makes this Easter special! With my thanks and very best wishes to you all. Nick”
“Dear Pupil of Chestnut Class. Thank you very much for the delightful, beautifully written ‘Easter Adventure’ story, and the pretty hand painted egg, that was delivered to our front door today. It was the most lovely surprise, and brought an immediate smile to our faces, as we are sure that it did to anyone else lucky enough to receive one. A lovely, thoughtful gesture from the school. Thank you. Jane”
“I want to thank you for the lovely Easter eggs I found on my doorstep this morning. Thanks especially to Hannah who did a lot of work to make them so nice. Is there a particular reason these were left for me? Whatever the reason I appreciate the gift very much. Carolyn
“Thank you @wookeyprimary for my Easter gift left at the Vicarage today and thanks for blessing the village and all at our service this morning. Reverend Paul”
On behalf of the children, staff and Governors of Wookey Primary School I would like to take this opportunity to wish everyone a very happy Easter!
